Building positive relationships with students is paramount in addressing student behavior. However, all too often, educators fail to make the crucial connections with students. It takes time, but the pay off is well worth it. Follow the 3-33 Rule,which holds that during the first 3 weeks of the year, focus on building relationships and clarifying expectations - the next 33 weeks of the school year will be smooth sailing.
